Preform Portfolio

Our preform portfolio includes the following neck finishes:

  • PCO 1810 (also known as Petcycle)
  • PCO 1881
  • GME30/37
  • GME30/40

Our PET preforms are available in weights ranging from 13.5 g to 100 g. Depending on the bottle design and size, we can provide you with the appropriate preform weights.

In addition to different weights, our preforms can be customized with a wide variety of colors. Whether transparent or opaque—nearly any shade is achievable. Special additives also enable further customization: They effectively protect your product by reducing UV light penetration or slowing the release of CO₂. This gives your preforms not only a unique appearance but also added functional benefits.

In addition to using virgin material, recycled material in various shades and with usage rates from 0% to 100% can also be processed.

The possibilities are diverse—we’d be happy to advise you on selecting the right PET preforms and support you in developing your product.

Food Safety Policy

Varioform PET Verpackung has been processing polyethylene terephthalate (PET) for decades, transforming it into preforms in our own facilities. Our products are primarily used in food and detergent packaging. To ensure sustainable and safe development, we operate an effective food safety management system in accordance with ISO 22000 and the requirements of FSSC 22000, and we are committed to its continuous improvement.

Our goal is to provide society with food-safe, practical, and sustainable packaging. This responsibility encompasses the entire lifecycle of our products—from raw material selection through production to delivery to our customers. Using a risk-based approach, we systematically identify, assess, and control all relevant food safety hazards through HACCP, PRPs, and OPRPs.
We place particular emphasis on legal compliance. We ensure that all national and international regulations—such as Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004, Regulation (EU) No 10/2011, and Regulation (EU) 2022/1616—are fully adhered to. Legal and normative requirements are continuously monitored and consistently implemented.

Our procurement of raw materials also follows clear food safety and sustainability criteria. We regularly evaluate, monitor, and audit our suppliers to ensure that all materials used—including recyclates (rPET)—meet the applicable requirements. We also consider potential risks related to food fraud.

Our production processes are designed to combine maximum efficiency with the highest hygiene standards. A comprehensive hygiene management system and a systematically structured HACCP program help identify critical points, derive appropriate measures, and ensure their continuous review. Additionally, we implement food defense measures to protect against intentional tampering and ensure the integrity of our products. Our food safety management system is based on prevention, monitoring, validation, verification, and continuous improvement in accordance with ISO 22000/FSSC 22000.

Since food safety can only be achieved together, our employees play a central role. Through regular training, brief information sessions, and fostering an active food safety culture, we strengthen awareness, responsibility, open communication, and the reporting of deviations.

Our customers should be able to trust that they always receive products from us that meet the highest hygiene standards. Through close collaboration, continuous feedback, and transparent communication, we continuously integrate customer requirements into our processes.

The top priority of Varioform PET Verpackung is the consistent fulfillment of all hygiene guidelines and food safety measures to ensure the delivery of safe packaging products at all times. Management is committed to providing all necessary personnel, technical, and financial resources and regularly reviewing the effectiveness of the management system as part of management reviews. Management fully supports the food safety management system according to ISO 22000/FSSC 22000 and demands the active participation of all internal and external stakeholders.
